Here are some bits from my evening class. I am rewriting a story I wrote during foundation to turn into a book. The set of sketches at the bottom show the earliest of the lot. Some of them were done a couple of weeks ago. The set of sketches above those are ones I drew today. I was trying to make the characters appealing and look more like children. The drawing at the top is just a happy one of a woman holding a beautiful coat!

This One
I don't why this picture is so long. I think it could be good for a title or something... might use it on my website or something. I like the composition though. It just feels like there should be some writing or something happening in the middle.

Some Quick Things
I'm doing a children's book illustration course at the moment and in preparation for starting on our own things, today we experimented with new materials. I used paint and colouring pencils. (These are not actually new materials to me, I admit.) Here are some scwibbles. Billiam and Beraldine (from my graduate film Win the Game - a classic) will be featuring in a new "how to" book on how to defeat a yeti monster. They are shown in the picture below. The top picture... I don't know what that is.

Colourful Little Man
I'm not sure what I was trying to do here. This is another example of an old picture I've recycled. There isn't much skill in altering the colours in Photoshop and then repeating the image a bazillion times, but it is fun and therapeutic. I think I might make it even bigger with more colours so I can use it as a pattern within another picture.
